When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.
My goal today is to do all of those things with intention.
Starting right now.
Listen to your heart beating.
The rhythm of your days.
Sit with it. Honor it.
As you sit, can you begin to hear or feel or see the rhythm of your soul?
What does it sound like?
What does it feel like?
What does it look like?
We are not here to be the whole.
We are not here to be everything.
We are here to bring our rhythm to the world symphony.
We are here to simply play our part with as much passion and feeling as we can;
To our very fullest, whatever that means on any given day.
Whether your rhythm calls you to create something inspiring, to nurture peace into your soul, to create a beautiful, loving space for another, or to work in the world for justice...whatever it is, it is okay. Even if it feels inconsequential, it's okay.
You are doing your work by following the rhythm of your soul.
Keep doing it.
We all need you to.
This afternoon in meditation, let's just love ourselves.
Let's not try to learn anything,
or access anything,
or be anything.
Let's spend a holy moment loving ourselves,
just as we are in
Put your hands where you feel like you could use some love, and then just think some loving thoughts about yourself.
"I've travelled this far with such strength and beauty."
"I love giving to myself."
"I am worthy of this extra energy."
"I am rocking my own world today, and forging my own path."
"I trust myself and my intuition."
"I can handle what is being asked of me."
"I am safe."
"I have what it takes."
Whatever feels true to you, whatever you need to hear, say it to yourself, either out loud or just quietly in your head--each way is equally valid.
Now go and do something that is blissful for you. Even if it's only for a few minutes, do your thing, and don't forget to keep doing the things that fill you up.
Because the world asks so much of us, and we can give so much more beautifully when we're full-up.
A bright, glowing, new dawn kind of morning outside.
Having let go of so much,
I stand on the edge of a new path.
Do I dare to jump?
Do I dare to turn around and stand in the light?
Do I dare to even open the blinds and see the brilliance before me?
On the brink of something intimidating, powerful, and so true,
I still hesitate.
Fear is still burning off.
I light a candle to represent my willingness to allow my internal flame do the work of transformation, and to express my dedication to the work of tending the hearth.
This is where I sit today.
Deep, deep breathing.
Acknowledge any anxiety you may be experiencing right now,
Where do you feel it in your body?
Know that this fear or anxiety is an experience and not who you are or a part of your identity.
It is a feeling that simply needs to burn itself out.
It is not bad.
You are not bad or less connected for feeling it.
Pose the question:
What do I need to do to support myself while I'm experiencing this emotion?
Then sit in stillness.
The answer will come.
My answer for tonight is, "accept. rest."
Now I am off to do just that.
A humbling moon day....
I am grateful for the wholeness and the wealth of health my family is so blessed with.
I am grateful for the Ravens that fly so freakishly close to validate without a doubt that I have just learned something important....like how this could be paradise.
I am grateful that my struggles involve things that are so comparatively small to the struggles others face.
I am grateful for days that break me out of my shell and remind me so deeply of so many things.
I am grateful that this one has another, new, lovely half of itself to share with me.

For a swimming, anxious, active mind kind of morning.
inhale 'so', exhale 'hum'
All the things that need to be done will get done.
All the transitions that need to be made will be made.
The beauty of life is there to experience if we'll only tap in.
Now is the time to deeply engage, so as not to miss the beauty.
Have a beautiful, present, engaging sort of day!
At the close of the day I am reminded that whatever recognition I receive outside of myself in my lifetime,or what work I do, even the best, most blessed work I can dream of, my true happiness comes and will always come from communion with Spirit in nature, and with my dearest loves...

When I heard at the close of the day how my name had been receiv'd
with plaudits in the capitol, still it was not a happy night for
me that follow'd,
And else when I carous'd, or when my plans were accomplish'd, still
I was not happy,
But the day when I rose at dawn from the bed of perfect health,
refresh'd, singing, inhaling the ripe breath of autumn,
When I saw the full moon in the west grow pale and disappear in the
When I wander'd alone over the beach, and undressing bathed,
laughing with the cool waters, and saw the sun rise,
And when I thought how my dear friend my lover was on his way

O then each breath tasted sweeter, and all that day my food

I heard the hissing rustle of the liquid and sands as directed to me
whispering to congratulate me,
For the one I love most lay sleeping by me under the same cover in

In the stillness in the autumn moonbeams his face was inclined toward me,
And his arm lay lightly around my breast--and that night I was happy.
Who could weave a more fitting "good night" blessing at the end of this Autumnal June weekend? I am grateful for a burst of Autumn whenever I get it.I am grateful for Walt Whitman, too.

To realize it, just sit with the affirmations:
I am safe.
I am swaddled, secure in love.
I am nourished, cared for, comforted, even carried.
I am safe.
Work with these affirmations as long as you need to. It is worth it.
You are worth it.
Let it soak in.
